Confused by pipes. 'cat -A' seems to filter out part of output

I think the issue was by ths following , You call quick_exit at the end of main, rather than simply returning an exit code. That is extremely dangerous, as quick_exit does not bother to clean up the execution environment. In particular, it does not flush the buffer associated with stdout.
That won't be a problem if stdout is line-buffered, as it will be on most systems if it is attached to a terminal. But if it is fully buffered, as it will be if it is attached to a pipe, then output may be lost, which is what you are seeing.

around this issue Here is the answer: Only the first filter value will be considered by the consumer web part when filtering, which totally explains why items are being sorted by "Tag B" only.
Here you will find an interesting approach to this issue: http://www.primordialcode.com/index.php/2009/09/02/wsssharepoint-create-custom-listviewwebpart/

wish helps you Note: the patient data displayed below is "dummy" data that I made up. It is not the actual information for an actual patient. , Your parameter is called obxTestDate, not testDate, so change;
code :
set @testDate =  CONVERT ( date , left(@testDate,8) , 112 )
set @testDate =  CONVERT ( date , left(@obxTestDate,8) , 112 )
RETURN datediff(mm,  @bdate, @testDate)

Hope that helps As documented Logstash supports e.g. and and or in conditional expressions, so you could say
code :
if [host] =~ /^10\.1\.1\.5$/ or [host] =~ /^10\.1\.1\.6$/ {
  ...
}
if [host] =~ /^10\.1\.1\./ {
  ...
}
if [host] in ["10.1.1.5", "10.1.1.6", "10.1.1.7"] {
  ...
}

I wish this help you It's a buffering issue - the first grep buffers it's output when it's piping to another command but not if it's printing to stdout. See http://mywiki.wooledge.org/BashFAQ/009 for additional info.

this one helps. An IPv4 address is a string, an IPv6 address is a tuple. So just check whether ip is a string, and skip it.
code :
for ip in adapter.ips:
    if not isinstance(ip.ip, str):
        continue

    #rest of loop body goes here
