will be helpful for those in need Internally, .NET is UTF-16. In some cases, e.g. when ASP.NET writes to a response, by default it uses UTF-8. Both of them can handle higher planes.
The reason people sometimes refer to .NET as UCS2 is (I think, because I see few other reasons) that Char is strictly 16 bit and a single Char can't be used to represent the upper planes. Char does, however, have static method overloads (e.g. Char.IsLetter) that can operate on high plane UTF-16 characters inside a string. Strings are stored as true UTF-16.

this one helps. The undocumented -noawt option will prevent the GUI functionality, but let Java run. Combine that with -noFigureWindows, as you discovered, and you should have what you need. Alternatively, you can turn off figure display via your M file with set(0,'DefaultFigureVisible','off').
To see if Java actually loaded, run ver or version -java. Here's what I see with -nojvm.
code :
nircmd.exe exec hide win64\MATLAB.exe -noawt -noFigureWindows -nosplash -minimize ...

it should still fix some issue Microsfot havent removed the limtis yet. But more flexibility and features are added to it. Follwoing is a quick glimpse of what they are.
At Mix Microsoft announced that theywill be offering a new 50gb size option in June. If you would like to become an early adopter of this new size option before generally available, send an email to EngageSA@microsoft.com and it will auto-reply with instructions to fill out a survey to nominate your application that requires greater than 10gb of storage.

With these it helps Yes, it requires a Windows version.
If you install any software on a Virtual Machine, that software needs to be compatible with the guest OS (Windows in this case).
