will be helpful for those in need It's actually pretty simple if you just substitute for all non-present letters:
code :
if (string.include?(letter_guess))
  puts "It's there: %s" % string.tr('^' + letter_guess', '-')
else
  puts "It's not there."
end

seems to work fine You can use explode, the amount of '-'s and 'x's shouldn't matter since you always need a specific one.
code :
$string = 'my-picture_001.79-420x230.jpg';

$last_half = end(explode('-', $string));     // '420x230.jpg'
$last_sec = reset(explode('.',$last_half));  // '420x230'
$values = explode('x', $last_sec);

echo $values[0] // '420'
echo $values[1] // '230'

I think the issue was by ths following , Using grid.polygon() and some basic trigonometry, you can define a function that'll do this
Some picky care needs to be taken so that the filled semicircle is not distorted when the viewport is non-square. To accomplish this in a way that matches the rules used by grid.circle(), I've set the origin in "npc" units, and the circle radius in "snpc" units. (For more on the meanings of "npc" and "snpc", see ?unit and vignette("grid")):
