This might help you I am trying to create a decimal to binary converter. The user inputs their value, and the amount is divided by two each time and added to the invertedbinary list. The amount is then converted back into an integer, to be divided by two again and so on. , You can always check wether the round value is equal to the value...
code :
if (round(x) == x):
    # x is int
else:
    # x is float/double

This might help you You would use PDO::PARAM_INT when using $q->bindParam(), which you aren't doing:
code :
$q->bindParam(1, $_GET['u_id'], PDO::PARAM_INT);
$q->execute();
$q->execute(array($_GET['u_id']));

around this issue You can use a switch statement with a separate case for each instance. On a side note, you shouldn't be using just if statements up there, your code will run slowly, you should be using else if to make it run faster (since your hp can never be 1 and 2 at the same time.
Ex for switch statements:
Method put(Integer, Integer) in the type Map<Integer,Integer> is not applicable for the arguments (String, Integer

it should still fix some issue I'm attempting exercise 24 of chapter one in the K&R C Programming language book and I'm stuck on a certain bug. The exercise is to take a C program to find basic errors like unmatched braces or quotes, so what I've done is used counters to increase and decrease upon seeing a certain character in input, then printing those characters at the end. What I have happening though is two of these counters giving ridiculously large values (larger than the amount of characters in the input file itself) and furthermore changing each time I execute the code, on the same compile. Here's my code, the variables that are doing this are singleQuote and escSequence:
code :
int c, i, braces, comments, escSequence, singleQuote, doubleQuote = 0;

I wish did fix the issue. To start with, you need to read the input. Start with a prompt that includes a carriage return:
