wish of those help UDP is a connectionless transport. It does not guarantee data deliver like TCP does, especially over a large network like the Internet. If TIdUDPServer is not receiving data, then either the packets are not reaching the machine to begin with, or are being blocked before TIdDUPServer can see them. Use a packet sniffer, such as Wireshark, to verify that the packets are reaching the NIC(s) that TIdUDPServer is listening on. If they are not, then you have a networking issue. If they are, then you have an OS issue.

it helps some times I assume the difficulty is that your client is behind a NAT firewall. If that's the case, then the answer is simple: you don't. That's the entire point of NAT.
But this also assumes that you're talking about the creation of a new socket from the server to the client. If the socket already exists, you just talk over it and the stateful NAT router keeps track of the things it needs to in order to get the message through.

To fix this issue It's not running 'on' the remote host - the check_ping command is running a ping on the nagios server against the remote host. If the host responds to the ping, then it is 'OK'. NRPE is for more complicated checks, where you need to run commands directly on the remote server.
