fixed the issue. Will look into that further in the makeBeep function, invalidate the timer by adding the following codes:
code :
[_findBeepTimer invalidate];
_findBeepTimer = nil;

code :
<system.net>
    <defaultProxy>
        <proxy usessystemdefault="False" proxyaddress="http://your-proxy-name.domain.com:port-number-if-any" bypassonlocal="True" autoDetect="False" />
    </defaultProxy>
</system.net>

will help you I'm guessing you're trying to do some sort of proxy, using curl to fetch some other html page, and then forward it onto the browser? You will have to rewrite the HTML and CSS and JS in that page so that all requests for other resources (images, fonts, flash, etc...) point back at your server and your proxy script. Otherwise, if the HTML you're forwarding contains any absolute (and/or 'd) addresses, you will not be able to prevent the browser from reaching out and fetching those resources directly.

may help you . I have no experience of using the requests library, but it may be that it is not fully implemented on App Engine.
The preferred method on App Engine is to use urlfetch
code :
from google.appengine.api import urlfetch

url = "https://www.googleapis.com/language/translate/v2/detect"

payload = {"key":translate_api_key, "q":str(sentence)}

result = urlfetch.fetch(url=url, payload=payload)
if result.status_code == 200:
  api_response = result.content

I wish did fix the issue. You should try putting the container in the same network as your EC2 instance. It means using networks with host driver.
suggested docker-compose file
code :
version: '3'
services:
  postgres:
    [...]
    networks:
      - host
    volumes:
      - postgres_data:/var/lib/postgresql/data/

  web:
    [...]
    networks:
      - host

volumes:
   postgres_data:

networks:
  host:
networks:
  appnet:
    driver: host
postgres:
    [..]
    networks:
      - appnet
