I wish this helpful for you You won't find the "corresponding functions" (=> to os.walk()) in requests because there's no concept of "directory" or "directory listing" in the HTTP protocol. All you have are urls and resources...
Given your specs ("I try to get data from my own server, so it lists directory contents"), the best you can do is parsing the HTML your server generates for directory listing and issue requests for the links you find. BeautifulSoup is possibly the simplest solution for the parsing.

With these it helps HTTP/1.1 has a "Range" header that can specify what part of a file to transfer over the connection. The download manager can make multiple connections, specifying different ranges to transfer. It would then combine the chunks together to build the full file.

help you fix your problem There are several approaches to rate limiting; one of them is token bucket, for which you can find a recipe here and another one here.
Usually you would want to do throttling or rate limiting on socket.send() and socket.recv(). You could play with socket-throttle and see if it does what you need.

wish of those help If the amount of users you want to check is not large , you'd better check them with individual request rather than retrieving the entire user list from AAD .
You can use Microsoft Graph API get user operation:
code :

Hope this helps You should keep a list or set of the files already fetched. The following assumes you run the code once and don't exit.
