SQL Best Practices for Identity value hard coding

SQL Best Practices for Identity value hard coding

To fix this issue Seems to me the strongest argument to your report writers is your second to last sentence "...those values can and are absolutely different [between environments]". That would be pretty much the gist of my response to them.
Of course there's always gray area to any question. Identity columns are essentially magic numbers. They have the benefit to the database of being...

around this issue I don't really like using a do/while loop in this way. One other way to do this would be to break your conditional in Code2 into separate if checks. These are sometimes referred to as "guard clauses."
code :
bool MyApplication::ReportGenerator::GenerateReport()
{
    if (!isAdmin())
        return false;

    if (!isConditionOne())
        return false;

    // etc.

    return generateReport();

}

wish helps you In reference to the best practice #10 avoiding hard coding IDs, is my code considered to follow best practice without using Lists or Maps ?? , Initialize constant first
code :
public final static Id INVOICE_SUMMARY_RECORD_TYPE_ID = Schema.SObjectType.Opportunity.getRecordTypeInfosByName().get('Invoice Summary').getRecordTypeId();
 if (oppItem.RecordTypeId != INVOICE_SUMMARY_RECORD_TYPE_ID)

With these it helps Generally speaking, there are 2 approaches to implementing service discovery:
with reverse-proxy / api-gateway. This approach provides faster update propagation. When your service is deployed / redeployed / undeployed all changes can be immediately handled by reverse-proxy, so its configuration always reflects the state of your microservices. However, there is a performance impact - all requests, including internal should go through reverse-proxy component. More details on this approach https://memz.co/api-gateway-microservices-docker-node-js/ with DNS. This approach provides slower updates, as every component (essentially, every http client used to call discoverable components) needs to revalidate its DNS cache, which may take some time (it can be configured with TTL of corresponding DNS entry). Additionally, it assumes that every http client implementation will respect that TTL value. As a first approximation, we can assume that TTL can be set as low as 60 seconds, and so, it will take no longer than that for configuration changes to take effect. This might help you This is a good question but there is no absolute answer for it:

hope this fix your issue What is the Data that's associated with the Guid/Description...
The data you've hardcoded sound's like a candidate for being added to the database itself.
