Using multiple local repositories while building Maven

This might help you Basically, you have the right approach. You set up a second "remote repository" and allow both of them to populate the "local repository" typically found in the ~/.m2/ directories
That said, there are a few subtle differences between a local and a remote repository. Simply copying your ~/.m2/repository/ directory into the locally installed "remote" repository will likely not get you the results you desire.

How could I deploy multiple maven artifacts to multiple nexus repositories including snapshot repositories without havin

Any of those help The only solution that comes to my mind is using properties and adding three executions during deployment. The ugly thing is that in case of SNAPSHOT your artifact would be deployed twice to the same repository.
Here is what you could do:
code :
<plugin>
    <groupId>org.codehaus.groovy.maven</groupId>
    <artifactId>gmaven-plugin</artifactId>
    <version>1.0</version>
    <executions>
        <execution>
            <id>eval-repo</id>
            <phase>initialize</phase>
            <goals>
                <goal>execute</goal>
            </goals>
            <configuration>
                <source>
                    if (project.version.endsWith("-SNAPSHOT")){
                    project.properties.repoId = "snapshots";
                    project.properties.repoUrl = "snapshots url";
                    project.properties.thirdPartyRepoId =   "snapshots";
                    project.properties.thirdPartyRepoUrl = "snapshots url";
                    }
                    else {
                    project.properties.repoId = "releases";
                    project.properties.repoUrl = "releases url";
                    project.properties.thirdPartyRepoId =   "thirdparty";
                    project.properties.thirdPartyRepoUrl = "thirdparty url";
                    }
                </source>
            </configuration>
        </execution>
    </executions>
</plugin>
    <configuration>
        <artifactId>gateway-client</artifactId>
        <url>${repoUrl}</url>
        <repositoryId>${repoId}</repositoryId>
        ...

    <configuration>
        <artifactId>gateway-services-client</artifactId>
        <url>${repoUrl}</url>
        <repositoryId>${repoId}</repositoryId>
        ...

    <configuration>
        <artifactId>gateway-services-client</artifactId>
        <url>${thirdPartyRepoId}</url>
        <repositoryId>${thirdPartyRepoUrl}</repositoryId>
        ...

To fix this issue In your internal repository manager, you can add proxy repositories and point your pom.xml to use only your internal repository.

SBT access to local Maven repositories

this one helps. Found the answer eventually (somewhat unintuitively) - if I replace resolvers with externalResolvers then I get the compile to work.

Can maven use both local and remote repositories?

Hope that helps I have a maven project running perfectly using the pom.xml file to get the needed jar files. Unfortunately the database I connect to doesn't have any jar files out on mvnrepository. Right now they're sitting in the Referenced Libraries folder. , Yes you can, something like this:
