wish help you to fix your issue Realm JavaScript v2.0.0 has a newer file format, and so requires a newer version of Realm Browser, v3.0.0 or newer, in order to open the files. We're currently waiting for the new version of Realm Browser to make its way through the App Store update system. In the mean time, you can download the new version from our GitHub release page.

Hope that helps The encryption key is used to encrypt/decrypt the actual file. So it has to be same across all transactions. That is also why you need to find a way to save the key between app restarts as otherwise you cannot access the Realm again. There are some links in our encryption example on how to go about this: https://github.com/realm/realm-java/blob/master/examples/encryptionExample/src/main/java/io/realm/examples/encryptionexample/EncryptionExampleActivity.java#L40-Lundefined

like below fixes the issue If those new objects you've added to the Realm Browser have definitely persisted (ie, you can close the Realm file and re-open it, and they're still there), then it sounds like you need to add a notification block in your app to detect when the Realm Browser has changed the data and to trigger a UI update.
If you're displaying those records as a table or a collection view, you can use Realm's collection change notifications to detect when a new object was added.
code :
class ViewController: UITableViewController {
  var notificationToken: NotificationToken? = nil

  override func viewDidLoad() {
    super.viewDidLoad()
    let realm = try! Realm()
    let results = realm.objects(Person.self).filter("age > 5")

    // Observe Results Notifications
    notificationToken = results.addNotificationBlock { [weak self] (changes: RealmCollectionChange) in
      guard let tableView = self?.tableView else { return }
      switch changes {
      case .initial:
        // Results are now populated and can be accessed without blocking the UI
        tableView.reloadData()
        break
      case .update(_, let deletions, let insertions, let modifications):
        // Query results have changed, so apply them to the UITableView
        tableView.beginUpdates()
        tableView.insertRows(at: insertions.map({ IndexPath(row: $0, section: 0) }),
                           with: .automatic)
        tableView.deleteRows(at: deletions.map({ IndexPath(row: $0, section: 0)}),
                           with: .automatic)
        tableView.reloadRows(at: modifications.map({ IndexPath(row: $0, section: 0) }),
                           with: .automatic)
        tableView.endUpdates()
        break
      case .error(let error):
        // An error occurred while opening the Realm file on the background worker thread
        fatalError("\(error)")
        break
      }
    }
  }

  deinit {
    notificationToken?.stop()
  }
}

like below fixes the issue Well the issue was that the file was corrupted. The error message from Realm browser was rather misleading asking for an encryption key.
Since my phone wasn't rooted, I was not able to retrieve the file directly using adb pull.
