How does elm's compilation differ from Java's checked exceptions?

By : Jonna

should help you out Please don't get too caught up on what is essentially marketing hyperbole. Of course there are classes of errors that you will never be able to fully rule out with any compiler.
As such, I've always taken these zero-runtime-exceptions claims with a grain of salt, but I think I understand the proponent's intent. Elm was created as an alternative to developing front-end applications in Javascript, which is a messy world where exceptions abound and are just part of everyday life. Elm makes it much harder to shoot yourself in the foot, and without too much effort, if you run through basic sanity testing on your app, you probably won't ever have runtime exceptions in production.

How do unchecked exceptions (ex C#) differ from Java-esque exceptions?

By : user2540603

This might help you There is essentially no difference between Exceptions in the two languages.
The only large difference is that in Java some Exceptions (checked) will generate a compile error if they are not explicitly caught or thrown.

Jquery fade out all other elms on hover, don't fade back in until mouse off all elms for a period of time

This might help you I've got a page full of articles, with margins between them, wrapped in a
and am trying to create an effect where if you hover over an article all the others fade out. That's fairly simple to do but when you move from one article to another everything else fades in and out again. Instead of letting all the articles fade back in by leaving the #shell I want them to only fade back when the mouse has been in the shell but not on an article for 500ms as the shell takes up the entire window. , Have you tried something like:
code :
var timeout = 0;
$('article').hover(function() {
    $(this).stop(true, true).addClass('artHovered').fadeTo(100,1);
    fadeOutArticles();
}, function() {
    $(this).removeClass('artHovered');
    fadeOutArticles();
});
function fadeOutArticles(){
    clearTimeout(timeout);
    $('article').not('.artHovered').fadeTo(300,0.6, function(){
        timeout = setTimeout(function(){
            if($('article.artHovered').length==0){
                $('article').stop(true,true).fadeTo(100, 1);
            }
        }, 500);
    });
}

How to get checked checkbox and associated text box value in an array and append this value to url using jquery or javas

By : Ian Smith

hop of those help? You can iterate over checked checkboxes and create new array that have checked value + comma separator + current qtyvalue
and then join them with ; character:
code :
var result = [];
$(':checkbox:checked').each(function(i){
 result.push($(this).val() + "," + $(this).parent().next().find('input').val());
});
var strreuslt = result.join(';'); // checkboxvalue,quantityvalue;checkboxvalue,quantityvalue;etc
$('#ct1').attr('href','http://shopping.sandbox.netsuite.com/app/site/backend/additemtocart.nl?c=4030365&n=1&buyid=multi&multi='+strreuslt);

Jquery DataTable keeps going back to first page when changing the checked status of checkboxes in other pages with javas

wish helps you Yes, probably - but have not seen any reason for test your hypothesis :) When dealing with dataTables, always go through the API! There is a neat every() method you can use to cycle through all rows and update a checkbox as checked. Here is an example, have tried to reproduce your setup with a "select all" button and checkboxes :
code :
$('input[name="select-all"]').click(function() {
  table.rows().every( function ( rowIdx, tableLoop, rowLoop ) {
     var $tr = this.nodes().to$()
     $tr.find('input[name="batch-select"]').prop('checked', true)
   })
})
