How to use fixture-context objects with async specs in ScalaTest?

wish help you to fix your issue I'm trying to use fixture-context objects with async testing in ScalaTest. , What about:
code :
import org.scalatest.compatible.Assertion

class FooSpec extends AsyncWordSpec {

  def withIntAdder(test: Adder[Int] => Future[Assertion]): Future[Assertion] = {
     val adder = new Adder[Int] { ... }
     test(adder)
  }

  "Testing" should {
    "be productive" in withIntAdder { adder =>
      Foo.doubleSum(adder, Seq(1, 2, 3)).map(sum => assert(sum == 12))
    }
  }
}
class FooSpec extends AsyncWordSpec {

  trait IntAdder {
    val adder = new Adder[Int] {
      override implicit val num = IntIsIntegral
      private var sum = Future.successful(num.zero)
      override def add(number: Int): Unit = sum = sum.map(_ + number)
      override def result: Future[Int] = sum
    }
  }
  trait SomeMoreFixture {

  }

  "Testing" should {
    "be productive" in {
      val fixture = new IntAdder with SomeMoreFixture
      import fixture._
      Foo.doubleSum(adder, Seq(1, 2, 3)).map(sum => assert(sum == 12))
    }
  }
}

this will help Mark Harrah says it is safe to ignore, and was supposed to be fixed before 0.7.4, but he forgot about it.

it should still fix some issue This will work if you also mix in the org.specs2.specification.Scope marker trait:
code :
"abc" should {
  "def" in test {
    // ...
  }
}

trait test extends TraitA with TraitAB with Scope

hop of those help? I'm writing my first Funspec and want to use the same fixture for several tests, but still want to use a new instance on each one. For that I use the BeforeAndAfter trait. My problem is I don't know how to refer initialization of the object under test to the before method and still store it in a val to make it final. The current looks like: , You could try using a fixture like so:
code :
import org.scalatest.FunSpec
import org.scalatest.BeforeAndAfter
import org.scalatest.fixture

case class Car(model:String)
class CarTest extends fixture.FunSpec{

  type FixtureParam = Car
  def withFixture(test: OneArgTest) {
    val car = Car("BMW")
    test(car)
  }

  describe("A car") {

     it("can accelerate") { car =>

     }

     it("can break") { car =>

     }
  }
}

hope this fix your issue I finally found out what was happening.
It turns out that under the right settings, sbt will fork the JVM to execute the tests, and will want to communicate with it. How this is done is up to the test framework. In the case of scalatest, the communication between the two processes will be done through a server. scalatest just communicates the server address and port that have to be used by sbt. And this is happening there.
code :
val array = Array(InetAddress.getLocalHost.getHostAddress, skeleton.port.toString)

like below fixes the issue I ended up making separate testing suites. Later I could configure sbt to only run those files instead of having it automatically search for files.
The disadvantage of this is that it takes a lot of boilerplate to add the tests to the suite each time. I hope somebody will edit my answer to remove the boilerplate.
code :
class FunctionalTestingSuite extends Suites {
  override val nestedSuites : IndexedSeq[Suite] = {
    //val actorSystem = FunctionalSpec.createActorSystem
    IndexedSeq(

      new CodeRepositorySpec(FunctionalSpec.createActorSystem) with FunctionalTestEnvironmentHelper,

      new PipelineCollectionSpec(FunctionalSpec.createActorSystem) with FunctionalTestEnvironmentHelper,
      new PipelineControllerSpec with FunctionalTestEnvironmentHelper,
      new PipelineSpec(FunctionalSpec.createActorSystem) with FunctionalTestEnvironmentHelper,

      new JobCollectionSpec(FunctionalSpec.createActorSystem) with FunctionalTestEnvironmentHelper,
      new JobControllerSpec with FunctionalTestEnvironmentHelper,
      new JobSpec(FunctionalSpec.createActorSystem) with FunctionalTestEnvironmentHelper
    )
  }
}
